Skydivers ("we", "our", "us") operates the Skydivers mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our app.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in using Google or Apple, we collect:
- Your name
- Email address
- Profile photo (from your Google or Apple account)
Logbook Data
When you log jumps or tunnel sessions, we store:
- Jump details (number, altitude, freefall time, discipline, aircraft)
- Tunnel session details (duration, speed, skills practised)
- Location names and dates
- Personal notes
Events & Bookings
When you create or book events, we store:
- Event details (type, location, date, description, cost)
- Booking status and history
- Messages sent in event group chats
Skills & Equipment
- Skill progression records across skydiving disciplines
- Equipment maintenance and service records (canopy, AAD)
Payment Information
- We do not store your card details. All payments are processed securely by Stripe and PayPal.
- We store transaction records including amounts, payment status, and payment method used.
Messages
Direct messages and event chat messages are stored to enable communication between users.
Social Features
Friend connections and friend request history.
How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Authenticate your identity and maintain your account
- Store and display your skydiving logbook and jump history
- Enable event creation, discovery, and booking
- Process payments between event organisers and participants
- Track your skill progression
- Enable communication between skydivers
- Manage equipment maintenance records and expiry alerts
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:

Data Storage & Security
- All data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore with security rules that restrict access to authorised users only.
- You can only access your own logbook, equipment, and skill data.
- Event details are visible to all authenticated users to enable discovery and booking.
- Messages are only visible to conversation participants.
- Payment data is only accessible to the payer and the event organiser.
What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not track your GPS location. Location fields are text-only names you enter manually.
- We do not access your camera or photo library.
- We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.
- We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, please contact us at mattacodestudio@gmail.com.
